Equality and diversity statementThis statement applies to all directors, staff and associates. We believe that much statute is seeking to enshrine into legislation common sense, good manners and mutual respect. We pride ourselves on these values. We have outlined our Company principles and that is the sole basis that we judge individuals. Diversity, cultural differences, backgrounds, personal choices, perspectives and experiences all have significant benefits to our company and we are positive about supporting individuals who have had challenging backgrounds including former offenders. We consider that equality is about breaking down barriers and ensuring everybody has an equal opportunity to fulfil their maximum potential. We will not discriminate against anybody regardless of whether they are a graduate at the start of their career who needs mentoring, an able bodied and experienced IA professional, or a more experienced individual who needs alterations to the desks and layout of the office to support their physical needs. We will support the life choices made by individuals as well as those who have additional medical needs. (This list is not comprehensive, but to highlight real world examples that we have dealt with previously.) We consider diversity to be about celebrating differences and valuing everyone. We know more than most about that on the basis of the range of skills, experiences and personalities that we need to deliver what we do. We enjoy learning about differences and what makes everybody unique, just like everybody else! We acknowledge that equality and diversity are not inter-changeable but inter-dependent. There can be no equality of opportunity if difference is not valued and harnessed. Every employee is entitled to a working environment that promotes dignity, equality and mutual respect. We will not tolerate any acts of unlawful* or unfair discrimination. We do differentiate between unlawful and unfair as there may be events that occur in the lives of our staff or associates that may not be covered by this statement, but we deem it important enough to protect their personal interests and circumstances. We undertake to commit to our staff as much as they do to us. All members of staff require assistance, training and support for them to fulfil their maximum potential and we have a moral and ethical obligation to provide social mobility in this manner. This is one of the reasons we provide so much support to the Chartered Institute of Information Security, mentoring and supporting third party training. No form of intimidation, bullying or harassment will be tolerated. If you believe that you may have suffered discrimination, you may make a protected disclosure. Equally, we are happy become involved in supporting the wider life events of our staff and associates.
